cryptpad: 4.3.0 Table on https://cryptpad.disroot.org/ has export options:

Chromium: .xlsx .ods .bin .csv .pdf
Firefox: .bin while showing info message that other formats are limited to chromium browsers

Interestingly testing the same with https://cryptpad.fr/ both Chromium and Firefox have export options .xlsx .ods .bin .csv .pdf

Expected
disroot cryptpad should offer all export options in Firefox.

I've tested it:

  • cryptpad.disroot.org: I have the same issue with firefox, but not with chromium.
  • cryptpad.fr: I have the same issue with firefox, but not with chromium.

So it looks like it is a cryptpad issue with firefox. Check this: https://github.com/xwiki-labs/cryptpad/issues/711 it is closed but I've commented it so perhaps they will reopen it.

Firefox 89.0a1 (2021-04-01) (64-Bit) + 87.0 (64-Bit) both show the expected options for cryptpad.fr

"this feature depends on some fairly new APIs being enabled in client browsers. It may break under extreme conditions: such as when using an old version of Firefox (ESR) or Edge/IE, if you've made modifications to your about:config, or if you're running extensions which actively interfere with standard behaviour"

So I'm closing this.

I politely disagree with closing #27: both firefox 89 and nightly on cryptpad.fr show all the export formats but not on disroot. As identical browser setup is used in both cases it would appear the issue is with disroot installation and not cryptpad or lacking APIs.
So far we only confirmed that current Firefox ESR is lacking support on both platforms, but that would be expected and is not what the issue is about.

THis issue is closed @steve because this board is not for this type of stuff. The idea of this board is for internal use but facing public. Here we report to ourself about new versions of software we provide/use and coordinate works we need to do in order to push it to production during the maintenance windows.

As we decided to move from taiga/deck to git because we work on it anyway most of the time we have also created a disroot project board for general purpose including reporting issues by users https://git.disroot.org/Disroot/Disroot-Project
We are still setting the board up,thinking how to organize everything but if you have issuewith cryptpad plase report it there.
