While testing Jitsi I could not connect to the room using jitsi desktop app. I vavaguely remember someone mentioning exposing some API endpoints, but not sure it's correct.
We should test if desktop app works and if it doesn't fix it so it does :)
I've tested with the electron one as the debian one doesn't work with bullseye (not surprising as the latest release is 4 year-old).
I can't indeed connect to calls.disroot.org.
I did update jitsi meet on calls just in case, but doesn't change anything.
For me on WIN10 Jitsi Meet.exe (Electron) works fine for https://meet.jit.si/
But not at all with calls.disroot.org - only shows a monochrome screen contents and stops responding.
I asked at community.jitsi.org for some hints.
We have a first reaction with a suggestion there for a solution. Useful?
@RainerBielefeld thanks. Indeed we use sameorigin header by default. It's pitty they use iframe to embed in their electron client but ok, it is what it is. I have removed the header and will add issue to add this change to our orchestration setup too.
Thanks a lot for going after this. much apreciated.
Great!
@RainerBielefeld you could close the thread on jitsi's forum.
