Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
This page should provide options we provide as disroot on different chatting options. This should include links to howto/clients/links to home pages of projects or pages to /services on disroot.org
It should cover:
@antilopa could you perhaps take this on yourself? We could just make it as simple as adding additional page to disroot.org and we could proxy to it, or creating static landing page, or well, its up to you how crazy you want to go :)
@antilopa what do you think about simply doing the same thing as there https://disroot.org/en/services/xmpp in the "Use your favorite chat-client" section
@meaz this was my starting point some time ago but I parked it when I didn't manage to make it look right (branch chat_page). Will try to pick again.
a) will chat page be a subgroup on "services"?
b) or new main header and if so will the info on "services" remain (redundant)?
this page is to avoid what you have now by going to https://chat.disroot.org :)
Here is what @antilopa has done so far
Thank you @meaz . I was just about to post the screenshot. I added a file on Cryptpad when we can work on the content, so far it is more or less a copy-paste of the service pages so we should think what we actually want to write about each service, how much more or less info do we want to add in comparison with the disroot.org service page? do we want to point it to the service page on disroot.org or directly to the service url for direct access? (which is what i'd go for).
I'd go for the solution where we point to the service url for direct access also.
As for the quantity of info, I'd go for the shortest solution possible, as people don't want hour reading info ;)
nice one @antilopa. Agree with @meaz not much info needed. I will try to look into the pad and help.
I've already commented a bit the file on cryptpad.
@antilopa where are you at with that? Do you need help for something?
This is how it currently looks. It will be good to review again the text, see what information is missing and perhaps use screenshot from our own platform.
is the text still on cryptpad or have you changed it and didn't updated there? coz I can barely read on the image. But the overlook is great!
The text is still the same. I'm more wondering if we aren't missing links to the services or the service's info page (like we have on Calls and Mumble for example)
I've run that on my machine to check.

In Delta chat, there are some typos:
Message anyone with an e-mail addres even if they don'y use Delta Chat.
should beMessage anyone with an e-mail address even if they don't use Delta Chat.
For Talk I would add a link like
[Talk](https://cloud.disroot.org/apps/spreed/)
For xmpp, should we add a link to https://webchat.disroot.org/ ? I'm not sure that is the best experience for new users... Perhaps a link to the list of clients?
For Delta chat I would add a link to the official website ?
Most changes as suggested by @meaz implemented.
What do you all thunk about adding a link to webchat? I think @muppeth was also discouraging it due to the poor experience, although it might be an easier for new comers than a long list of clients. Othe option would be to link to the service page https://disroot.org/en/services/xmpp - but then I wonder if we shouldn't do that with all services.
I'm also not sure about Delta chat.
Perhaps drop the idea of link to webchat, maybe when someday we have movim working, we'll add it!
Concerning delta chat, I don't have strong opinion about it. I guess it is nice for people that don't even know that exists.
