iOS 15.0
NextCloud 4.0.6.0
NextCloud Server 21.0.4
Opening iOS NextCloud app and it complains about certificate. Not reproducible on desktop on same network or web login on same iOS device so this is a bit curious.
Could be related to potential changes to how apps and certificates are handled in iOS15. But this needs to be verified.
Hi,I just had another report about joplin and it might be the issue with the letsencrypt root cert and the recent change:
https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/certificate-has-expired-error-with-joplin-cloud-and-workaround/20638
@steve can you check now?
Same warning is still shown.
Is it still an issue? Some updates were done with letsencrypt...
Just checked, persisting on iOS 15.0.2.
Wow this is a rather common problem. Here's the report on NextCloud tracker:
https://github.com/nextcloud/ios/issues/1682#issuecomment-954018888
And NC iOS dev linked: https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/connection-is-not-trusted-ios-only/55374
The solution mentioned in NC tacker (https://github.com/nextcloud/ios/issues/1682#issuecomment-954018888) is: delete app, reinstall app, login, solved.
Not at all nice for users, especially as they have no chance of finding out about this solution, but it is what it is.
