Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
SInce update to v23 there is an info about our nextcloud being unsupported because of it's size and therefore having instant notifications disabled.
Not sure what it means, though. I have come across this issue on their forum:
https://help.nextcloud.com/t/hide-disable-community-warning
There is however no explanation which notifications are going through the server and whether they can be disabled. Subject has been closed due to inactivity but I sent message to the admin that closed it asking to have it reopen before I start same topic again.
Until this issue is resolved I did bump the value of
countSeenUsers
as suggested in the thread, however this is not the proper way forward. If there is anything that uses nextcloud's company servers we should be able to switch it off and selfhosted if needed. Thanks to @meaz who found similar info about it on nextcloud's git page, https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/32165 I managed to get some answers about what is the push used for.
If there is no way around it, perhaps we could get in touch with the nextcloud team and check how much we would have to pay to help them out with carrying the cost of infrastructure for this.
I finally sent email to the nextcloud founder. Sorry it took so long. I asked how much we would need to contribute financially for push and if its beyond our reach, the solution is to disable notifications app.
what apps we use will be affected if we have push no longer?
According to https://nextcloud.com/pushnotifications/
Should we contact them again?
any news with that @antilopa or @muppeth ?
update: devs just don't answer...
I will try one more time.
