Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Would be nice to have a banner informing about the migration so that people dont wake up surprised again.
Additionally we could move snappy to oldmail.disroot.org domain for next few weeks in case people did not move their contacts or something.
Nice idea the oldmail.disroot.org thing!
If having a banner is difficult (in the sens that it takes time to tweak things), could we have a page when one goes on mail.disroot.org, that explains that the service will be discontinue soon, and a button that users would have to click on to be redirected to snappy? I don't know if it is easier/quicker to do than a banner...
No clue, but I will try to put a banner. Shouldnt be too much work considering we wont be updating snappy anymore so once its tweaked it will stay.
Once we kill it, for lets say next 3 weeks mail.disroot.org will be a static page (like the other services killed) with link to roundcube and link to oldmail.disroot.org
I think in this way we will avoid people who get surprised that the service is no more.
I have simply edited the config file and change the loading description. See https://mail.disroot.org/
I'm happy with that solution actually, so I'm closing this unless you disapprove muppeth :)
