find a solutions so delta chat users don't hit limits.
delta chat limit hitto [Mail] - Delta chat limit hitI am sure checking the headers of the messages could help.
Delta Chat uses a custom non-encrypted header (I remember this was not encrypted) in the form
Chat: 1.0
or similar (I didn't check exactly know to remember if was exactly that).I hope it helps.
The problem with that (I thought I answered this one before, perhpas I forgot to hit "post"), is that if spammers realize it or simply read on the website, they could easily just add needed header in and be done with it. On the other hand, if we would to create a rule that does not count gpg encrypted emails, this could acutally work. Noone is sending gpg crypted spam.
We would need to check how to make such rule to eliminate abuse though. For example we should make sure all deltachat headers are present. We should also make sure deltachat does not send multipart (plain + crypted) emails etc. But this could be a rather good solution to the problem.
I fear that this would affect a lot of users in Delta Chat.
I know a lot who don't use encryption because is expensive (size of the message), specially Cubans. I thought that the measures were for internal accounts and not for external ones, which are mostly the one prone to generate SPAM and be less easy to control.
