We have recently enabled some extra modules to help with iOS notifications on MUCs. We should test this, make summary/feedback and submit to prosody / Siskin folks

don't work. siskin_user@tigase.com receives msgs from private group at chat.disroot.org only while using app actively.

disroot xmpp user can't be invited by tigase server.
it worked with me secondary account on dismail.
actually me disroot account is participating the muc on tigase but is offline.

invitation issue seems not to be related to disroot setup, but looks like general problem with prosody servers. works with ejabbered

I have a friend with iOS and siskin 7.1 and today he's is not receiving any PUSH notifications for MUC and even in 1:1 chat.

Weird. push on 1on1 should just work. We are planning an update to the xmpp server software (tuesday latest) so should check then if things are improved.

Yes, it was working 1:1 before he joined to a private MUC. I'm not sure at all because there was an Siskin update. I don't know if the problem was with update or MUC. Perhaps none...

We were missing https://modules.prosody.im/mod_muc_offline_delivery on prod for some reason (it is on the role though..)
I've added it, let me know it that changes anything.

So after a chat with MattJ about the snikket ios module it is rather clear.

1on1 notifications work as expected on ios currently (tested myself on siskin).

For MUC there is no real solution apart from Snikket iOS module but that's aparently very hacky fix working only for snikket ios client. MattJ is currently working on offcial XEP which means there is a prospect of proper implementation in the future. For now though, push notifications for MUC's do not work.
