Hello everyone!
First of all want to say - thanks for your work!
I'm far from coding and stuff, but suggest you to add same blurring feature for Disroot websites (with button to on/off) as it realized here for example -> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/privacy-extension-for-whatsapp/
For example: I open Disroot web interface or any other soft in space like co-working or cafe, but people around seeing text and pictures, sometimes even coming close....
Wish i can blur it until i not point my mouse to some square (for example 5x10 centimeters) or last message\last text lines in line?
Thanksss! :)
That is not at all something we can provide as we just don't have time for this and have plenty of other things to do. What do you think @muppeth ? Should we still keep that open? I would close it...
I agree @meaz
Specially if we would need to offer it for all services. The initial amount of work needed to implement this is quite big. Not only that, but maintaining it is another amount of work (and this needs to be quaranteed by anyone who initially publishes it). We can't spend this amount of work on this feature which, although cool, isn't that critical (sure whatsapp owned by meta with billions of users could afford it). Additionally we would not be able to guarantee if this will remain maintained if initially developed by someone outside the core team. So Although nice to have, I think at this moment there is no way we could carry this load.
