Good day, i wanted to thank @muppeth and the rest of the team for providing us with very useful and relevant open source solutions. While searching for better alternatives to Google, i stumbled upon a website:

https://adminforge.de/

The admin over there provides nearly 60 services hosted in Germany. Therefore i thought that if you could go through the list of services he provides, maybe you might come across a service to your liking and perhaps host it in the future. His website also seems well categorised.

Cheers

Should I close this @muppeth ? The user has deleted his account...

@meaz I think it would be a better idea to close...
Most of the services featured here are using ccTLDs. If this happens, the state can always take back the ccTLD and make them close their servers. I don't think this is a developed vs. developing country issue.

I recently saw a site using an Afghanistan ccTLD that had its instance shut down. Germany may have the most privacy-minded people, but does the government? I don't know, because I'm not German.

And, If they're really running a respectable service, they'll work with you instead of deleting a account.

I think the intention of the author (originally @iftikhar, now @Ghost) was just to point out a list of services that might be used as a source of inspiration.
I hope I'm not to naive (and the hidden intention was actually to promote that website).
Anyhow, this repository is probably not the best place for such a discussion (since this is not really a Disroot-Project issue).

@iftikhar Trust in a service is important, and modeling trust, especially when it comes to decentralized services, is quite difficult for an individual to achieve, and often each action undermines trust. I'm just pointing out these concerns, so as long as you clarify what your intentions were, I have no reason to doubt them.
It's just that the ccTLD dependency of the service still exists, so it's a matter of personal choice.

@iftikhar, then I'm glad I was not mistaken when interpreting your original message.
PS: Welcome back.
