For those of you interested in what we decided to go for we will post more details in upcoming blog posts when we are actually going to start deploying the server in production. We decided to stick with Dell servers and so we bought two Dell R640 with ssd hardware raid storage and about 200GB RAM each. Those servers will be used for 1. application server (running all the code) and 2. database server (running all databases). Third beast is Dell R740XD who's main purpose is filestorage and secondary load balancing. It's equiped with 12x14TB disk and will be responsible to provide storage for all your mails, uploads, and cloud storage. In total we have spent a significant portion of our current budget - 21.000 euros 😯️
isn't this already quite a bit of information already? Will there be much more to add on the next update? I like the idea of getting into specific when deploying the servers.
