Jon Dufresne 8271a5e288 Remove unused ConfigurationMixin._files_to_clear ...

The list is always empty.

Removing the unused attributes simplifies the mixin and avoids the need
to add a type annotation for it.

Unused since its introduction in
bd850c0798.
