I'm not sure if this warrants a rap sheet for Patreon, but their policies are certainly displeasing for a number of reasons.

Since an active Patreon user has already put it better than I could, I'll just link to their writeup:

The company claims that MasterCard is forcing them to do these things, but if that's true it's pretty suspicious as to why all other payment processors who accept MasterCard aren't doing this same thing...

Thanks for the information. That certainly merits disclosure in this repo. Competing options (Liberapay and Open Collective) are also quite lousy. So they should all be documented here in some way.
