GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection includes C, C++, Java and Fortran.

This port installs the various front ends as gcc43, g++43, gcj43,
gfortran43 and so forth into the ${PREFIX}/bin directory.

This is a new port for egcs, which probably stands for something like "enhanced GNU compiler suite." It contains updated versions of gcc, g++, and g77 with many bugfixes and some new optimizations. The C++ compiler in particular is vastly improved over gcc-2.7.2.1. 1998-01-10 22:40:10 +01:00
And here we go, introducing the lang/gcc43 port in form of the 20061104 snapshot of GCC 4.3.0; repocopied over from lang/gcc42. Sadly we now have an unconditional dependency on math/libgmp4 and math/mpfr. On the positive side this allows us to always build the Fortran frontend.
