GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection includes gcc, g++, g77, and gcj.

Beware: This port installs new versions of "gcc", "g++", "c++" and
so forth into the "${PREFIX}/bin" directory.  Mind your PATHs if you
don't want to use this compiler by default.

This is a new port for egcs, which probably stands for something like "enhanced GNU compiler suite." It contains updated versions of gcc, g++, and g77 with many bugfixes and some new optimizations. The C++ compiler in particular is vastly improved over gcc-2.7.2.1. 1998-01-10 22:40:10 +01:00
