freebsd-ports/sysutils/webmin/pkg-message


After installing Webmin for the first time you should perform the following
steps as root:

* Configure Webmin by running ${LOCALBASE}/lib/webmin/setup.sh

* Add webmin_enable="YES" to your /etc/rc.conf

* Start Webmin for the first time by running ${LOCALBASE}/etc/rc.d/webmin

The parameters requested by setup.sh may then be changed from within Webmin
itself.
Don't use IS_INTERACTIVE, be "make package" friendly. This change allows webmin to be installed/upgraded using binary packages only. A new pkg-message file will tell the user what to do to configure webmin for the first time. The procedure is the same after both "make install" and "pkg_add". 2001-02-27 23:10:32 +01:00

More info in pkg-message. Tell the users that they must run setup.sh after every webmin upgrade: part of the setup procedure will insert the correct perl paths in the webmin script, and webmin will not start without these settings. 2001-02-28 10:14:44 +01:00
