decided to change the license to a commercial one starting with Version 3 and
removed all traces of the BSD-Licensed IRCG 2. I kept on using the IRCG 2
sources and never had a problem with this setup. IRCG connects an irc server
of your choice with a thttpd webserver. Using PHP, the frontend can be
scripted. It?s mainly a framework for web-based chats, but could be used to
pass any type of xml messages between multiple clients. Memory and CPU usage
per client is quite low, so even an entry-level server can support hundreds of
clients.

Garnaxbot (File Server) is a file serving bot for IRC (commonly
referred to as a DCC bot). It uses the DCC chat/send features
of IRC to send files to other users. Garnaxbot will connect to
an IRC server and allow people to request files via DCC chat.

gseen works similar to countless seen scripts. It logs for each user
when he or she was last seen in the channel and makes this information
publically available. It takes switching nick names into consideration
and supports wildcards in search-requests.
The advantage of gseen in contrast to most other seen scripts is it's speed.
gseen can handle databases of several thousand nicks withouta lag in seen
requests. It also supports several languages.

WeeChat (Wee Enhanced Environment for Chat) is a fast and light IRC client.
Everything can be done with a keyboard, and it is customizable and extensible
with scripts. For the moment, only ncurse GUI issupported by this port.
