037a3b5bf9 Remove the final usages of USE_XZ from the tree, and replace them with 
USES=tar:xz.

126be08616 This upgrade generalizes the installer to handle any Matlab version, 
adds support for MEX compilation, adds a man page, and improves the user
interface using auto-admin tools.
