This is a large port and due to the dependencies often triggered for
rebuilds. There might be cases where python and texlive-base might not
be necessary hence reduce the temporarily remove the dependencies and
check the outcome. On my cases I did not find any problem as the
runtimes are installed by other necessary packages for those who use it
extensively for writing. If there is a runtime breakage scream at me
please at the earliest.
Remove an unnecesary VARIABLE from previous commit which is for
MAINTAINER_MODE only.
Not bumping as this does not feel trivial and no need to trigger a
rebuild of other ports which depends on doxygen.
- The distfile has been replaced with a locally modified distfile
including all the patches required resulting in a smaller distfile.
The delta is a huge step forward reducing the original file from 3.6GB
to 1.1 GB.
- However this still does not change the build time a lot. Although it
reduces the fetch and install target but the package target is still
large. I have checked with a static plist and due to it's size the
time difference is longer and does not yield any better results.
- There are still 9 more ports which uses the original upstream distfile
of 3.6GB but I will slowly replace them with smaller targeted dists to
reduce the fetch target duration.

- There are multiple ports which uses the macro USE_TEX=texmf that is
downloading a big DISTFILE. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to
test all the consumers in runtime. So in the following ports I have
removed USE_TEX=texmf so that someone who uses those can report the
runtime files those are missing. If possible(based on LICENSE
permission) I will try to create a smaller distfile out of the
texlive-20230313-texmf and change dependency accordingly otherwise
will reinstate USE_TEX=texmf. The list of ports that are affected are

- Update all the consumers to use USES=tex
- USE_TEX=yes is the old way of writing USES=tex which has been removed
and replaced in all ports
- Almost all of the USE_TEX features remains unchanged
- Some consumers had the same variables defined both in the mk
infrastructure and also in the ports which have been removed from the
ports as those are redundant.
In case any of the consumers are failing to build please make sure that
the nexessary USES=tex is there. Unlike previous USE_TEX=yes will no
longer load the required VARS for tex and related dependencies.

Commit b7f05445c0 has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on
WWW: lines in pkg-descr files.
This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these
pkg-descr files.
Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the
ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These
URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources.
Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and
they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was
present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into
the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the
port specific URL to further information.
There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as
a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time.
This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries
of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic
attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than
one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the
Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr
files in order to preserve them.
There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These
ports will not be touched in this commit.
The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port
Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as
deprecated.

- Support multiple values in *_OLD_CMD, i.e. we can now fix both "/usr/bin/python" and "/usr/bin/env python" at the same time
- Default *_OLD_CMD values are now always appended, so you don't need to specify them in individual ports
- Add lua support (depends on USES=lua)
- Add more default values, such as "/usr/bin/env foo" for python, perl, bash, ruby and lua
- Shebangfix now matches whole words, e.g. we will no longer (erroneously) replace "/usr/bin/perl5.005" with "${perl_CMD}5.005" (but "/usr/bin/perl -tt" is still (correctly) replaced with "${perl_CMD} -tt")
Note that *_OLD_CMD items containing spaces must now be quoted (e.g. perl_OLD_CMD=/bin/perl /usr/bin/perl "/usr/bin/env perl")
Update shebangfix usage according to new rules in many ports:
- Remove *_OLD_CMD for patterns now replaced by default
- Quote custom *_OLD_CMD which contain spaces
Fix shebangfix usage in many ports (irrelevant to infrastructure change):
- Remove redundant SHEBANG_LANG (no need to duplicate default langs)
- Remove redundant *_CMD (such as python_CMD=${LOCALBASE}/bin/python${PYTHON_VER} when USES=python is present)
- Never use *_OLD_CMD in REINPLACE_CMD matchers, these should always look for exact string

- print/texlive-infra was renamed with print/texlive-tlmgr.
Note that currently tlmgr(1) does not work because of
lack of TLPDB. This will be fixed.
- Lua libraries used in LuaTeX are separated into
devel/tex-libtexlua and devel/texlibtexluajit.
USE_TEX supports them via keywords "texlua" and "texluajit".
- libsynctex is currently installed by devel/tex-web2c.
This will be separated into a single port.
- Add graphics/libpotrace and use installed libpotrace
and libharfbuzz.
- Note that full support of configuration tools such as tlmgr and texconfig
is not ready yet.
- Most of dviware now supports libpaper to choose the default papersize.
Use paperconfig(8) utility or print/papersize-default-* packages.
- Some quite old macros of the age of latex209 have been removed, and
there are user-visible/invisible incompatibilities. Please send a report
to freebsd-tex@FreeBSD.org or file a PR if you have trouble.
- Split off documentation to print/texlive-docs from print/texlive-texmf.
The document part was 1.3GB (30k files). Now the size of texlive-texmf
package is 557MB (this was 1.5GB before the split).
- do-texhash, do-fmtutil, do-updmap targets now run after post-install.
TEX_DEFAULT:

manually-installed and/or old TeXLive files can prevent them from
working. [1]
