While here, a number of Makefile tweaks, including a little
more info in the descrs, meta::cpan instead of cpan for WWW,
and a number of formatting tweaks.
Also, given that p5-Sereal, -Decoder, and -Encoder all have
the same tests, it's really no benefit to making -Decoder
and -Encoder register TEST_DEPENDS on each other. Tests for
just that module work for 'make test', and the full suite
can be run by doing 'make test' in the main p5-Sereal port.
Also, take maintainership. This is the third PR that's timed
out, and I have sent multiple direct emails with each one.
kuriyama's last commit to this port was nearly 2 years ago.
I am considering this port abandoned. I'd like to thank
kuriyama for creating these ports and looking after them
for over 3 and a half years!

Many PHP extensions were adding a build dependency on session, so that
it was loaded first. This is now no longer needed, we have a nice
framework handle the extensions ordering.

Every PHP (or Zend) extension now installs its own .ini file in
/usr/local/etc/php. A PHP extension will be automatically activated
when installed. The order into which extensions are loaded is
automatically guessed. In some very rare cases, the guess will be
wrong, and PHP_MOD_PRIO will need to be set. Refer to the USES=php
section of the Porter's Handbook for more information.
Convert ports touching etc/php/extensions.ini manually, or telling the
OP to do it.
And finally, bump PORTREVISION for all php extensions.

I'm deleting the Canary::Stability dependency. It's a useless build-time
dependency that the upstream author likes to add to his modules. It
does a series of about 3 checks about the Perl version that are already
handled by the ports tree.
Add patches to py-poppler [2] and rubygem-poppler [3] to fix the build
of these ports with poppler 0.39+.

${PERL5} points to a specific version of perl, say, perl5.22.1, it is
fine to use it in a ports Makefile to do Perly things, but ports using
it must use ${PERL}, that points to /usr/local/bin/perl so that if the
minor version is updated, the shebang keep working.
While there, make some ports use shebangfix, regen a few patches, and
bump PORTREVISION where a shebang went from PERL5 to PERL.

These were FreeBSD specific aliases for libiconv(), libiconv_open() and
libiconv_close() that are now also provided by libc which complicates
writing configure tests that work correctly when both libc iconv and
libiconv are available.
Also, because the libiconv iconv.h header redefines iconv* to libiconv*
correct use of the header implies that the aliases aren't used.
The following ports needed fixes because there was something wrong with
the way they tried to detect or use iconv:
audio/deadbeef: Remove LIBICONV_PLUG from a source file. It's a
compile-time option and should not be set in source code.
comms/hidapi: Use standard AM_ICONV configure macro to look for iconv.
deskutils/fbreader: Let ports framework deal with LIBICONV_PLUG.
deskutils/ljclive: Override configure test for iconv.
deskutils/owncloudclient: Add USES=iconv and patch test for iconv.

Four of these five patches should have been part of the previous
commit but I didn't notice them. The ampasCTL pach is to fix a
regression that I introduced by removing part of the post-patch
target.

- Move where Perl installs its modules man1 pages.
- Convert the ports installing man1 pages.
- Make different Perl versions installable at the same time.
Though you should note that only the default version can be used to
install Perl modules, and the non default Perl versions cannot use the
modules installed via ports if they contain .so as they are installed
in a version specific directory.

A fast JSON parser and generator optimized for statistical data and
the web. Started out as a fork of RJSONIO, but has been completely
rewritten in recent versions. The package offers flexible, robust,
high performance tools for working with JSON in R and is particularly
powerful for building pipelines and interacting with web APIs. The
implementation is based on the mapping described in the vignette
of the package (Ooms, 2014). In addition to drop-in replacements
for toJSON and fromJSON, jsonlite contains functions to stream,
validate, and prettify JSON data. The unit tests included with the
package verify that all edge cases are encoded and decoded consistently
for use with dynamic data in systems and applications.

Jsonm is an OCaml non-blocking streaming codec to decode and encode the
JSON data format. It can process JSON text without blocking on IO and
without a complete in-memory representation of the data.
The uncut codec also processes whitespace and (non-standard) JSON with
JavaScript comments.

<file> on ELF systems, but this doesn't really do what -export-symbols is
meant to do. On GNU ELF systems it converts <file> to a simple version
script first and then uses -version-script instead of -retain-symbols-file.
Let USES=libtool patch libtool scripts to do this on all systems with GNU
ld(1).
Bump PORTREVISION on all ports where the build log contains -export-symbols.
audio/calf: This port builds a module that now exports only one function,
but it also builds a number of executables that link to this module and
expect to see other functions. Because it's already a bit dodgy to link to
a module (libtool warns about this) let the module continue to export only
one function and instead build an ordinary library from the same source that
the executables can link to. Fix a number of other issues in the same
Makefile.am and clean up the port Makefile.
japanese/scim-honoka: Tries to hide all symbols that start with an
underscore, but because this library is written in C++ all symbols start
with _Z so it ends up hiding everything. Just don't hide anything at all
like the textproc/scim configure script does.
multimedia/schroedinger: Apply an upstream patch.
textproc/scim-input-pad: Same as japanese/scim-honoka.
