91e0c8f1a7 Replace all known incantations of WANT_{AUTOMAKE,AUTOCONF,LIBTOOL}* with
the USE_<x> equivalents. In the current scheme of things, the WANT_
variables in this case are synonymous with the USE_ ones, and thus need
to be exterminated.

First in a series of major autotools cleanups.

d5e5082e47 Revive lang/pnet, a "DotGNU" Portable.NET C# compiler suite. It came back
as a bunch of ports and a meta-port.

ml-pnet: Some of the Mono upper-level libraries in a form that can be easily
compiled and used with pnet's CLI implementation.

pnet: A meta-port for all these ports.

pnet-base: A runtime engine, C# compiler and a host of useful development
  tools, all written in C.

pnetc: pnetC project, an ANSI C library that can be compiled down to IL
  using Portable.NET's cscc compiler.

pnetlib: C# class libraries.

7be480ee5d Change the default version of ruby to 1.8 for i386 as well, finally.
Always put a version suffix to the ruby name (no matter if ruby is the
default version) to avoid mess in future.

[Notes for i386 users]

If you are a ruby developer and still want to stick with ruby 1.6 as
default, please add RUBY_DEFAULT_VER=1.6 to /etc/make.conf.

If you are a ruby developer and want to keep ruby 1.6 as default,
please add RUBY_DEFAULT_VER=1.6 to /etc/make.conf. Otherwise, please
run the following series of commands to migrate to ruby 1.8:

  1) Reinstall portupgrade manually (and ruby 1.8 will be installed)
	pkg_delete portupgrade-\*
        (cd /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade; make install clean)

  2) Reinstall everything that depends on ruby 1.6 (to use ruby 1.8)
	portupgrade -fr lang/ruby16

  3) Reinstall ruby 1.8 (because the previous step kills symlinks)
	portupgrade -f lang/ruby18

  4) Deinstall ruby 1.6 stuff (if you are paranoia)
        pkg_deinstall -ri lang/ruby16

7360591d8a This fixes a little bug introduced in r1.8.
When installing with pkg_add(1), the ${SITE_PERL} directory was not created
causing system headers not to be perlified and installed by h2ph. This made
some things break in very mysterious ways.

The pkg-install script used by pkg_add(1) doesn't know about the many special
variables in bsd.port.mk, so it shouldn't try to rely on them.
