- from Jan 8 2011 News for 1.0.0
This release brings support for compressed streams in the transcoder,
configuration presets and lots of minor improvements and fixes.
As far as major features are concerned, the gmerlin suite is now finished.
Future developments will mostly concentrate on bugfixes. There are some
ideas for new features, but no concrete plans.
remove support for them from bsd.java.mk. As Jikes is not available in Java 1.5
or higher, remove it from bsd.java.mk too (suggested by hq@) and from the ports
which used it (only occurences were USE_JIKES=no). Support for the Blackdown VM
is also removed, as it is not available in Java 1.5 and higher.
Also remove the mapping from Java 1.1-1.4 to Java 1.5+ in bsd.java.mk to detect
old, broken ports; therefore bump the minimal value of JAVA_VERSION to 1.5.
While here, replace static values of JAVA_VERSION in files/*.in by
%%JAVA_VERSION%% .

tries to build multimedia/mplayer
* Add option 'ASS "Enable ASS/SSA subtitle rendering"' with default
off
- However, override user decision to on if multimedia/libass
is already installed: mplayer does not uphold configure options
disabling dependency on external port.
* Do not bump PORTREVISION since nothing has really changed for
users who didn't have multimedia/libass on their systems

a lang setting. (This helps at least "service vdr start" which
doesn't pass a LANG and thus left vdr falling back to the C locale
and e.g. showing non-ASCII chars as '?' in the osd.)
- Bump PORTREVISION.
. name="zoneminder";
. do load_rc_config at a proper location and remove a second one;
. some whitespace refinement;
. do a 10 seconds pause only at system startup.
Do not bump PORTREVISION for now, it'll be done when the file is renamed.

This should unbreak some libv4l users like pwcview [2]
Bump portrevision since this affects a installed header.

The patch for i386 ($arch should be 32 here but perl uses 64 bit integer):

I'm not sure how to properly fix this. I'm all ears.

Qt4 support is based on the patch developed by Raik Bieniek (raik.bieniek
at googlemail dot com) as found in the SVN repository and has been cleaned
up for this port by me.
The Qt4 version of dvbcut.cpp is built without optimisation (the GUI is not
functional, else).
. www/mod_perl2 from RUN_DEPENDS (currently port uses only PHP for web);
. security/gnutls from BUILD_DEPENDS (the port is just fine with openssl
from the base system).
Bump PORTREVISION.
