Recently, the souce codes are available. So, we can build FreeBSD native version of PIPS from source instead of just using Linux version. However, some libraries are still shipped as Linux binary. So, we use libmap.conf to solve this problem. Since I have only PM-760C, I cannot test it with other than PM-760C, actually. So, your feedbacks are welcome.

This port is for a printer filter of EPSON PM-880C. The filter is
called Photo Image Print System for Linux and there exist the filters
for other EPSON bubble jet printers. By using this driver you can
print out as high quality as you use the Windows driver. See the below

This port has a modified filter "filter880.rev" which is useful to
print out more than one page. Then you execute the next command:
/usr/local/libexec/pips880/setup
to setup /etc/printcap, make a spool in /var/spool/lpd/ and so on.
