Changes:
 - gzip and bzip2 support for the log files
 - reduced memory usage (a lot, more than 20%, depending on the log files)
 - faster
 - support for setting config options on the command-line
 - some fixes for seg-faults
 - relaxed max line-length in the log files from 1k to 4k
