user, so it's not nice to try to use an option that will try to chown if
the repository isn't owned by the builder.
(Some OS's do in fact cause an error when the chown in "cp -p" fails.)
With other package systems, mkdep is provided with pmake or bmake
packages.
This is a newer replacement for devel/newmkdep. It is newer code
taken from NetBSD CVS.
This uses libnbcompat and has been tested under Linux and NetBSD.
