This package provides the tools, libraries, and documentation for
developers and translators who want to develop or localize
internationalized programs.

It includes msgfmt(1) for generating binary message catalogs,
xgettext(1) for extracting gettext translatable strings, and other
tools for editing translations of message catalogs and maintaining
the gettext infrastructure.

It also provides the autoconf/automake m4 files for this GNU NLS
library.
