Jean-Yves Migeon 8ba337c831 Use ${MACHINE_ARCH} instead of uname -m to obtain machine architecture. 
Completely removing the architecture dependancy path being more work than
patching `uname -m` calls, I did it that way.

Thanks to all who provided insight on this.
