the cache files used during a bulk pkgsrc build.
- replace the code in the build script that used to create the cache
files with a 'make bulk-cache' call.
Submitted by Lubomir Sedlacik <salo@silcnet.org> in PR 14887
Changes in the NetBSD's package from version 0.6.4 -> 0.7.1:
- upgrade to silc-server-0.7.1 (the main changes below)
the biggest change is the ipv6 support (new configuration file format is
needed, though)
- removed patch-ac because it was integrated into distribution
(patch-ad was moved in its place)
- completely rewritten rc.d script to use rc.subr instead and fixed the
problem with removing pidfile so now status) works fine.
- added default motd file
- INSTALL and DEINSTALL scripts are cleaner and more useful, check for logs
directory before creating it, added motd.txt installing/removing.
- better and more helpful default configuration file (added Example:
sections for each variable)
- added examples/ directory containing sample configurations of various
scenarios into $DOCDIR
changes in the silc-server itself:
o Fixed WHOIS and IDENTIFY commands to return correct replies,
and correct error replies. This fixes various weird bugs
related to these commands.
o Send NO_SUCH_CLIENT_ID error notify if received private
message to invalid Client ID. It is guaranteed that if
private message is sent to unknown client, the sender will
receive a notification for it.
o Send the kicker's information in KICK command to the kicked
client.
o Fixed LIST command to return correct amount of channels.
This fixes the weird bug that LIST would show like 50 channels
and some channels multiple times.
o Channel topics, and users SILC modes are announced now during
server->router connecting.
o Implemented the founder authentication during JOIN command.
o Support for IPv6 based Server ID added.
o Memory leak fixes.
Buildlinkify against tcl/tk/x11
This configure is kinda brain dead so just keep the configure.in patches (which
were reversed anyways from the configure patches) and depend on autoconf
to force a correct configure. Also pass X11BASE along to configure's env
so the right -R flags end up in the libs/binaries.
1) locking problems due to a few race conditions
2) fixing a bug in `create temporary table' wich could contaminate the
main database file opened too
3) bug fix in b-tree subsystem that could sometimes cause the first row of
a table to be repeated during a database scan.
changes since 0.0.5:
- Turn on and off explicit layers.
- Color on button reflect color on layer.
- Automatic detection of drill- or gerber file.
- Tooltips over buttons to reflect loaded filename.
- Handles Polygon Area Fill
- Major rehacking of file IO and pan code to significantly
increase speed.
- Autoscaling. Loaded gerber files are automagically scaled and
panned to fit in window. Also possible to do with loaded files
with Zoom/Fit meny option.
- configure.in enhancement to support package building in Red Hat.
Thanks to Wojciech Kazubski for patch.
- bzero changed to memset, which hopefully is more POSIX (for portability).
- Loads of bugs squashed and hopefully fewer added.
references of the pkglint package.
_PKGSRCDIR is an internal definition in bsd.pkg.mk, and a few packages
which would like to refer to other packages in the build tree. It should
not be set by users, but neither should it stop a user from building a
package if it is defined, so make it obvious that this is the case.
Many changes since the last packaged snapshot. A sampling of these are:
Support for hierarchical names has been largely rewritten. The major
consequence of this is that escaped names now have much better
support. By now, most any combination of escaped and hierarchical name
should work properly, for nets, parameters, and anything else.
Output delays for primitive gates, including user defined primitivies,
should now work properly. Delays on nets still do not work, although
the parser now parses them and prints a "sorry" message.
Bugs in support for division(/) and modulus (%) have been fixed.
Bugs in l-values of synthesized DFF devices have been fixed. These
bugs were related to part selects of vectors in l-values.
A few XNF code generator bugs and limitations were fixed.
And as usual, a variety of miscellaneous bugs have been fixed in this
snapshot.
The bit size of the results of some unary redunction operators is now
properly handled. Also, similar problems with logical functions have
been fixed.
force/release now works for variables, though not yet for
nets. Assign/deassign already work.
many other bugfixes
- Regen patches
- Add p5-Compress-Zlib to DEPENDS
- Add Compress::Zlib for Net::HTTP::Methods
- LWP::Authen::Digest now use Digest::MD5 instead of MD5
- Net::HTTP new options to the 'read_response_headers' method
- LWP::Protocol::http will now allow certain bad headers
n the responses it reads.
- LWP::UserAgent: make sure that the 'request' attribute is
always set on the returned response.
* Answered flag not set in some circumstances when replying

* Pine fails to compile in non-DEBUG mode.
* PC-Pine crashes in some dialogs when run in Dialog Box mode.
* Setup/Signature prefers literal-signature by default
* Composer justify command handles nested quoting better
* Increased efficiency for remote configurations (no temporary files)
* New tokens SIZECOMMA (similar to 4.33 SIZE) and SIZENARROW for index-format
* Select by size (thanks to Martin Gallwey)

SSL-problems
* Better color interoperability between PC-Pine and Unix Pine with
16-color xterm
* New PC-Pine dialog to aid in locating configuration file if none found
* Save from local folder to simple name in remote collection fails
* Crash when selecting folders by Properties (Unseen...) in local collection
* Crash when talking to POP3 servers which have the EXPIRE capability
* Crash when talking to SMTP server which offers STARTTLS
* Crash when accessing remote config if there is a TLS failure
* Crash when index-format includes SCORE token, a score rule includes
an AllText pattern, and the folder being scored is remote
* Delivery Status Notification (DSN) broken
* Editing reply-indent-string was broken when using Windows dialog boxes
* Entire folder is re-filtered when Save is typed and save-will-advance is set
* Updated buildlink.mk as the new version has some new #defines in the .h
file (and e.g. pine won't build against the old version)
Updated: 2 November 2001
imap-2001a is a maintenance release, consisting primarily of bugfixes
including some critical bugfixes to crash and denial of service problems.
Programs written for imap-2001 will build with this version without
modification.
The following new facilities have also been added:
The new /norsh switch in mailbox names provides a more intuitive way of
disabling rsh-IMAP than the existing :143 or setting the rsh-timeout to 0.
Passwords are no longer returned in mm_dlog() callbacks unless the
application sets the SET_DEBUGSENSITIVE parameter.
The SET_NETFSSTATBUG parameter allows an application to force the
traditional UNIX mailbox driver to close and reopen the mailbox at ping
time. This is EXTREMELY inefficient, and should only be used to access
files stored on AFS and old NFS systems.
The ISO 8859 and Windows conversion tables have been updated to comply
with Unicode 3.1, and the KOI8-R table has been verified as compliant with
Unicode 3.1.
The SPECIALS mechanism for passing parameters to the lowest level Makefile
has been updated to be more general. See the next item for why you might
care.
New lrh port to build on Red Hat Linux 7.2, with pre-set definitions for
the places where Red Hat has placed Kerberos and SSL. It's actually just
the lnp port with SPECIALS defined accordingly. You may want to use it as
a model if your system needs such definitions. Note that SPECIALS is
primarily for IMAP toolkit (and Pine) purposes, and that user settings
should use EXTRASPECIALS instead.
- Bug fixes.
- Start of internationalization support for banner and PPD files.
- Added support for embedded TrueType fonts in PDF files.
- Added support for PostScript functions in PDF files.
- Added new "cupsaddsmb" utility for exporting CUPS printer drivers to
SAMBA/Windows clients.
- The ippRead() and ipp_read_file() functions could not handle more than
IPP_MAX_VALUES (100) values in a 1setOf attribute. These functions have
been updated to dynamically allocate more memory as needed, and the
IPP_MAX_VALUES constant now represents the allocation increment. [this
caused some versions of the GIMP-print drivers to fail since the number
of media options exceeded 100...]
- The web interfaces did not always quote < and & in things like the job
title. This had the potential for browser-based security violations (on
the browser's machine); bug report from SuSE.
- The scheduler now treats unauthenticated usernames as case-insensitive
when doing quota and allow/deny processing.
- The PostScript filter (pstops) now handles EPS files, adding a showpage
command to the files as needed.
- The cups-lpd mini-daemon did not support anonymous printing (no username
specified). While the username is REQUIRED by RFC-1179, MacOS clients do
not send the REQUIRED username information when printing via LPD.
- The httpConnect*() functions now try all available addresses for a host
when connecting for the first time.
scripts and honors ${PKG_SYSCONFDIR}. Changes from version 1.0.2 include:
* bug fixes
* set FRESH flag for registrations; OpenSLP ignores this flag, but other DA
implementations like K&A SLP do not.
* Minor changes to the way that settings from /etc/slp.conf affect active and
passive discovery.
* Changed declaration and definition for strncasecmp and strcasecmp so that
there is only one place for them in slp_compare.c and slp_compare.h
* Honor scopes in SrvRqsts for the special "service:directory-agent" type
* Added code to use IP address in agent url for those operating systems where
gethostname() does not return a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
* Added code to log parse errors and dump bad messages to the log
* Fixed reconnect code to be able to interoperate with inefficient DAs that
close the stream after each srvreg/srvack exchange. The Mac OS/X DA is
reported to have this problem
* Removed calls that (sort of) enforce service-url checking. This is for the
benefit of AFP's usage of SRVLOC. Developers are now trusted not to
register ambiguous service-urls.
