Fall back to ASCII only characters on non-Windows platforms without UTF-8 support, and also in LaTeX when running knitr (#34).
Each R package should include ../../math/R/Makefile.extension, which also
defines MASTER_SITES. Consequently, it is redundant for the individual
packages to do the same. Package-specific definitions also prevent
redefining MASTER_SITES in a single common place.
A suite of tools designed to build attractive command line interfaces
(CLIs). Includes tools for drawing rules, boxes, trees, and Unicode
symbols with ASCII alternatives.
