Changes:
1.50
A few small bugs since the last beta were fixed.

entire tabs on both panels. There is new popup panel that can display quick
view, tree etc., a new compare directories menu, support for selecting
certain protocols for certain mimetypes, the ability to cut, copy, and
paste files. Konqueror's right-click actions are now shown. The search now
searches on remote servers and supports profiles. Packing and unpacking to
and from remote URLs is now also supported. Handling of Arj, Lha, Ace and
Iso are now fully supported.

97ff422b68 Various fixes/cleanups to get this package compiling on Solaris:
+ Use the mnttab(4) interface instead of mntent.
+ C++ syntax cleanups to appease the SunPro compiler.
+ Use MAXPATHLEN instead of NAME_MAX which can be unimplemented on strict
   POSIX systems.
+ Use POSIX inttypes.h if BSD types are not available.
+ RPC includes and C++ namespace fixes.
+ Use dirent(3) instead of older sys/dir.h interface.
 + Avoid `sun' namespace collision.

Patch based on the work of Robert Lillack and others, described in
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2004/08/20/0005.html and tested with
SunPro and gcc.

* Russian translations updated. Thanks M. Zaripov.
* Added test for nested Move of directories. Thanks to John H.,
"m3", and F. Cosolete for reporting variants of this.
* Hopefully fixed broken logic in Copy that caused it to abort
too soon when skipping a directory. Reported by M. Bunkus.
* Fixed bug that caused DirParent to always (internally) look like
it failed, which stopped sequences from continuing past the
  command. Reported by C. DeeDee.
* The SelectSuffix command will now use the first bareword argument
as the suffix. Suffixes are assumed to start with a period (.),
so running "SelectSuffix action=toggle bmp" will toggle the sel-
ection state of all files whose names end in ".bmp". This was
  suggested by C. DeeDee.
* The left arrow key now exits the text viewer (suggested by
  F. Cosoleto).

665d71f190 Add kqueue support. This way, famd can be notified of changes to files and
directories in "real time", without having to periodically poll(2) for them
after several seconds. This improves the responsiveness of applications
using famd (specially GNOME) when changes to files occur from the "outside"
(they are notified from changes immediately), or even from the application
itself (for example, have you ever tried to rename several files from
Nautilus? just a PITA).

To enable kqueue, you have to pass the 'kqueue' option to the package.
I'm not enabling it by default because it needs testing (but it should be
enabled in a future). Furthermore, I'd like to send these patches to the
FAM developers for comments too. And a review from somebody knowing kqueue
could be good! (this is the first time I use the kqueue interface, so I'm
not sure if everything is right).

A description on how this works can be found in the files/IMonKQueue.c++
file. Note that, due to FAM's design, the easiest way to do this change
is to "emulate" imon functionality.

While here, add an rc.d script for famd, in case the user prefers to run
it at system startup instead of from inetd (I created it while developing
the kqueue functionality, so it's a good moment to add it). Adjust the
MESSAGE accordingly.

The Linux-NTFS project (http://linux-ntfs.sf.net/) aims to

a static library and utilities such as mkntfs, ntfscat,

Provided in PR 27119 by Darrin B. Jewell, modified by myself to
remove dylib files from PLIST, add NetBSD statvfs compatibility, and
quieten a warning in one of the patches.

Darrin's patches perform the following changes:
. provide for redirection of error output without having an lvalue stderr
  . support for NetBSD disklabels
. fix for ntfs_attr_pread to avoid reading a partial block
. workaround for darwin sys/mount.h namespace pollution

124465c371 Initial import of shc-3.7 into the NetBSD packages collection.
shc creates a stripped binary executable version of a shell script.

shc itself is not a compiler such as cc, but rather it encodes and
encrypts a shell script and generates C source code with the added
expiration capability. It then uses the system compiler to compile a
stripped binary which behaves exactly like the original script. Upon
execution, the compiled binary will decrypt and execute the code with
the shell -c option.

All library names listed by *.la files no longer need to be listed

	lib/libfoo.a
	lib/libfoo.la
	lib/libfoo.so
	lib/libfoo.so.0
	lib/libfoo.so.0.1

one simply needs:

minskim
363f3ec7e1 Import wipe from pkgsrc-wip. Packaged by pancake and modified by me.
Wipe is a secure file wiping utility.

There are some low level issues that must be taken into consideration.
One of these is that there must be some sort of write barrier between
passes. Wipe uses fdatasync(2) (or fsync(2)) as a write barrier, or
if fsync(2) isn't available, the file is opened with the O_DSYNC or
O_SYNC flag. For wipe to be effective, each pass must be completely
written. To ensure this, the drive must support some form of a write
barrier, write cache flush, or write cache disabling. SCSI supports
ordered command tags, has a force media access bit for commands, and
write cache can be disable on mode page 8. IDE/ATA drives support
write cache flushes and write cache disabling.

Unfortunately, not all drives actually disable write cache when asked
to. Those drives are broken. Write caching should always be
disabled, unless your system is battery backed and always powers down
cleanly.

583ebd7011 Update to 4.0.2. From the README:
The version 4 rewrite was mainly to accomplish three things:

    (1) the previous code was basically a hack, and was ugly.
    (2) to make the code more portable. The previous version required some
hackery to compile on some systems.
    (3) to make the code fully 64-bit aware. The previous version worked
on 64-bit systems, but did not fully stress the memory subsystems
on them -- this version should be better at stress-testing 64-bit
        systems.

pkgsrc changes:
* Use the gzipped tarball (the bzipped one is no more).
* Tweak COMMENT.
* GNU make is no longer needed.

c5477757e0 Update to 2.01a27:
- New option -tao is now needed if you like to write in TAO
mode. Cdrecord now does no longer writes if no write mode
	has been specified.

- New option -sao as alias for -dao. As the official name
for the write mo de is SAO, -sao is more correct than -dao.

- New paranoia sub option paraopts=overlap=xx
This is mainly a bug fix for cdda2wav. Cdda2wav previously
_always_ did completely deactivat the dynamic overlapping
from libparanoia. Instead, it did set the overlapping to
	the statical value 0.
If you omit paraopts=overlap=xx, cdda2wav will now use
	dynamic overlaping with -paranoia.

If you like the old behavior, use: paraopts=overlap=0

- New paranoia sub option paraopts=minoverlap=xx
This sets the minimum dynamic overlap

- New paranoia sub option paraopts=maxoverlap=xx
This sets the maximum dynamic overlap

- Better paranoia statistics output

- Fixed a Problem with some Linux sound card drivers that
caused cdda2wav to be unable to output to the soundcard.

- Trying to add verbose output that estimates the read quality
	with -paranoia

- Support for PowerPC CHRP Boot added

- Support for -uid/-gid for UDF Filesystems added

- isoinfo now is able to list ElTorito Boot information with -d

- isoinfo now correctly shows long RR filenames from CE
	Extension records.

- New options -root & -old-root from Patrik Ohly
This allows mkisofs to be used for "incremental backups" where
each backup is put into a separate directory tree on the CD.

And some bug fixes.
