that had near identical code paths for MacOS Classic
(which has two unusual features: unsigned time_t,
and a special tz struct member), and for non-MacOS Classic
- tv_interval should be implemented in XS

by the above-mentioned MacOS Classic simplification)

pkgsrc is a framework for building software on UNIX-like systems.
To use, bootstrap using:
% cd pkgsrc/bootstrap/
% ./bootstrap
build packages, use:
% cd pkgsrc/category/package-name
% $PREFIX/bin/bmake install
Where $PREFIX is where you've chosen to install packages (typically /usr/pkg)
