This aspect of syncevo-dbus-server had been developed for use in an
IVI head unit. It's currently neither used nor tested and no longer
compiles (timeout.h moved, API changes in libfolks).
Instead of trying to keep it working while enhancing the usage of C++,
removing it entirely is easier.

The function now keeps the event loop running while waiting for
completion. That ensures that events get received immediately.
testpim.py now matches the po scanning process because of the _(' text
pattern. We need to exclude it explicitly.
As mentioned by Tino Keitel on the mailing list, some libs and
executables were only implicitly linked against libraries that they
called directly. This happened to work by chance because these libraries
ended up in the running executable anyway, due to indirect loading.
To catch such problems, the "make installcheck" was extended:
dpkg-shlibdeps is run, if available, and the error output is scanned
for the messages which indicate that a symbol is used without linking
to the right library (example output below).
Had to fix quite a few _LIBADD lines to pass the test.
Some exceptions are allowed:
- libsmltk depends on the caller providing SySync logging support.
- libneon is intentionally not linked explicitly for syncevolution.org
binaries, to make resulting binaries work with GNUTLS and OpenSSL.

Several files created as part of the GUI build were not
properly removed during "make clean". Found with distcheck
when using DISTCHECK_CONFIGURE_FLAGS=--enable-gui
distcheck also complained about an untranslated .xml file
that it found after building the GUI. The .xml is
generated from .glade, which is translated, so the .xml
file can be ignored via POTFILES.skip.
