At some point, we would have to take the time to simplify things a it!
For example, to access User Self Service Center, I need to click on howto: Services then User then Account then Manage your Disroot Account then User Self-service Center...

Yes. The main issue is that we keep changing the directory structure and thus keephaving broken links.

Definatelly we need to fix this but then stick to it for longer time (we changed structure way too many times).

Well... you can also click on Howto Services and, in the general index, select Manage your Account to access the index of the USSC options.

There are 8 categories:

  1. User (Account management, requests, GDPR, DisApp)
  2. Cloud (Basics, settings, file management, apps, clients)
  3. Email (Settings, webmail usage, clients)
  4. Chat (Webchat, clients)
  5. Forum (Basic usage)
  6. Social Network (Hubzilla - which is a Bible itself)
  7. Proyect Board (Pending Howto)
  8. Office (Pads, PBin, Polls, Lufi, Mumble)

And GITEA needs to be added somewhere.

Except for User, the rest follows basically the same organization

  1. Usage / Configurations
  2. Clients (Desktop / Mobile)

It seems to me that the problem is not so much the structure (which almost hasn't changed since H2 site has been running) but the way we display the information or make it visually more accessible. We have a lot of unused space on the pages, I think, that we could use to make improvements in this area.

i also prefer to use https://howto.disroot.org/en/tutorials than the tiles,
because i have everything in overview and the access is fast.
i would like to have this as home.

I disagree with this and think that the tiles could work but as we already establish when talkign about it some weeks back, only the front page has tiles while the rest is imitation and does not look good. It's also consistant with website.

I think the main issue is specially in pages where you have all the GDPR lists. Also the inconsistency with screenshots etc. I think some tutorials shouldnt be exposed in the overview. Like here: https://howto.disroot.org/en/tutorials/user

And inconsistencies like: https://howto.disroot.org/en/tutorials/office https://howto.disroot.org/en/tutorials/cloud/apps https://howto.disroot.org/en/tutorials/email

I like the structure which @fede presents Usage / Configurations Clients (Desktop / Mobile) and the lists should be reflecting exactly this. I have a vision in front of my eyes and I would like to try some things. I don't want to block the process too much given I tend to do milion things so would like to propose that you give me two weeks to present and otherwise shutup. Whatcha think?
