Edit Stations Dialog

This window lets you edit station details. It can be opened from Stations Manager, see Edit Station.

It has 5 tabs:

Station Tab

In this tab you can set basic station details:

Attribute: Description
Name Full station name.
Used in Job Editor and Exported Sheets for stations, shifts and jobs
Short Name Abbreviated station name.
This name is used in Railway Line Graph and Shift Graph.
NOTE: it must be different from 'Name', leave empty to always use full name.
Type Station type can be: Normal, Simple Stop, Junction.
Junction: trains can only transit.
Simple Stop: trains can also stop.
Normal stations: can be set as Origin or Destination for trains.
Phone Phone number of the station.
Leave empty if station has no phone associated.

NOTE: station name and short names (if not empty) must be UNIQUE. No duplicates are allowed.

SVG Station Plan

You can Add an SVG as Station SVG Plan. You can also Save SVG back to file. To change SVG first click Remove Image to remove previous image if set. Finally you can export station layout in XML format with Save XML to file

Gates Tab

Gates represents entrances (and exits) of the station, they are the start or end points of railway segments. They are named by single upper case latin letter (A-Z). For simplicity each station is considered to have 2 sides: West (left) and East (right). Each gate is on West or East side. You must set the number of tracks going out from this gate (Out Track Count), it usually matches track count of connected railway segment.

Tracks Tab

Add, remove, edit or reorder station tracks.

Attribute: Description
Name Track name. Can contain letters, numbers and spaces.
Choose short names.
Color Custom color in Railway Line Graph.
Set white to use default color.
Electrified Check if electric traction can run on this track.
In Railway Line Graph, track name gets blue color.
Through Check if this track directly connects 2 gates on opposite sides.
Usually these tracks can have turnouts but are straight.
In Railway Line Graph, track name gets Bold
Length Total length of model station track in centimeters.
Train stopping at this track should not exceed total length.
Passenger Check if this track has Passenger traffic.
You can set a smaller length for passenger trains.
Freight Check if this track has Freight traffic.
You can set a smaller length for freight trains.
Max Axes Maximum axes count for stopping trains.
This field is currently unused. Prefer setting length in centimeters.

Track Connections Tab

Value Description
Track Station track to connect.
Side Track side to connect, usually is the same as Gate Side.
Gate Gate to which connect this track.
Gate Track Gate track to which connect this station track.

Gate Connections Tab

This tab allows to create new segments starting from one of the Gates of current stations. Segment must end in a Gate of a different station. Gates can only be connected to one segment. You can set segment length in kilometers, its name etc.
