a fetch size mismatch everywhere except FreeBSD cache. The maintainer
recommend removal 5 weeks ago, so expire it on 1 Aug 2014.

interactive ports. The port should be converted to a regular port as
well as providing stage support in order to undeprecate it. The listed

weekly either. Ideally all interactive ports should be converted to
regular ports. Reduce the number of these types of ports by pruning
unmaintained ones first. Those wishing to pick up these ports are
expected to convert them to regular ports if this can be done with
reasonable effort. Ports deprecated for removal on 20 August 2014:

Gentoo removed ghostview in favor of print/gv eight years ago. The
latter is maintained both in ports and upstream, and it's a continuation
of the original ghostview 1.5.
This port is unstaged, unmaintained, and segfaults. It's time to pull
the plug I think.

Sylvio's last commit was 17 months ago, a full 5 months after all of his
ports could have been reset per policy. Given the push to complete
staging (48 ports are still unstaged, something like 70+ have already
been staged by other committers) and given that PRs are automatically
assigned but never addressed, it's better just to reset all the ports and
PRs so that it's clear to others that these ports are free to maintain.

- Add LIBS="${LIBS}" to MAKE_ENV and CONFIGURE_ENV.
- Add an option helper for LIBS.
- Adjust all ports that already use LIBS. Also remove references to
PTHREAD_CFLAGS and PTHREAD_LIBS while here.
- Some ports did not support having a LIBS environment variable and
required additional patches.
Somewhat simplified a linker command line looks like:
${CC} ${src_LDFLAGS} ${LDFLAGS} ${src_LIBS} ${LIBS}
where src_LDFLAGS and src_LIBS are controlled by upstream and LDFLAGS and
LIBS can be controlled by us. If possible -L and -l flags need to be
added to LIBS to make sure they appear after any -L and -l flags set by
upstream. Many ports currently add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LDFLAGS but this
may appear too early on the command line causing installed libraries to
be linked in instead of freshly built ones.
Additional changes:
benchmarks/netio: Replace WITH_IPV6 with an IPV6 option.
comms/gnokii: Replace some patches with USES=pathfix. Also remove -fPIC.
graphics/gimageview: USES=libtool and install desktop file in DESKTOPDIR.
graphics/visionworkbench: Remove FreeBSD 7 support.
multimedia/libmovtar: New LIB_DEPENDS syntax.
multimedia/opencinematools: Use standard do-build.
net/siproxd: USES=libtool:keepla (port actually needs .la files for plugins)
net-mgmt/nagios: Remove -fPIC.
net-mgmt/nagios4: Remove -fPIC.
print/cups-base: Only add -lssp_nonshared on i386 and OSVERSION < 1000036.
security/p11-kit: Replace PTHREAD_LIBS in CONFIGURE_ENV with
ac_cv_func_pthread_mutexattr_init=no in CONFIGURE_ARGS. This skips a test
in configure that falsely detects pthread_mutexattr_init in our libc.
sysutils/dar: Fix iconv detection.
x11/rxvt-unicode: Remove -lstdc++ and patch configure to remove a FreeBSD
hack and use $CXX as linker as on other platforms.

been in continual production use since then. It is open source (BSD-license).
The key features are:
- *small*. Preppy is a single Python module. If you want a templating system
'in the box', it's easy to include it in your project
- *easy to learn*. It takes about one minute to scan all the features
- *just Python*. We have not invented another language, and if you want to do
something - includes, quoting, filters - you just use Python
- *compiled to bytecode*: a .prep file gets compiled to a Python function in
a .pyc file
- *easy to debug*: preppy generates proper Python exceptions, with the correct
line numbers for the .prep file. You can follow tracebacks from Python
script to Preppy template and back, through multiple includes
- *easy to type and read*. We've been using ``{{this}}`` syntax since well
before Django was thought of
- *8-bit safe*: it makes no assumption that you are generating markup and does
nothing unexpected with whitespace; you could use it to generate images or
binary files if you wanted to.

Since FreeBSD 8.4 and FreeBSD 9.1 make(1) do support :tu and :tl as a
replacement for :U and :L (which has been marked as deprecated)
bmake which is the default on FreeBSD 10+ only support by default
:tu/:tl a hack has been added at the time to support :U and :L to ease
migration. This hack is now not necessary anymore

exists, libtool will add all libraries libB.la refers to (dependency_libs
field) to the linker command line and store them in the dependency_libs
field of libA.la. So everything that subsequently links with libA will also
link to these extra libraries. This causes too much overlinking.
This commit modifies Mk/Uses/libtool.mk so it empties the dependency_libs
field in .la libraries during staging. However, because .la libraries have
very limited use when dependency_libs is empty it makes sense to completely
remove them during staging.
So with this commit USES=libtool is modified to remove .la libraries and a
new form (USES=libtool:keepla) is introduced in case they need to be kept
(dependency_libs is still emptied).
PORTREVISION is bumped on all ports with USES=libtool that install .la
libraries. Most ports are also changed to add :keepla because .la
libraries have to be kept around as long as there are dependent ports with
.la libraries that refer to them in their dependency_libs field. In most
cases :keepla can be removed again as soon as all dependent ports that
install .la libraries have some form of USES=libtool added to their
Makefile.

It appears to be the best option here, i.e. just remove BLOCKS
detection from cups/cups.h: there are some other ports which
use cups/cups.h and get broken by a BLOCKS detection. So:
. patch cups/cups.h to remove the offending code;
. remove traces of previous attempts to fix cups-* ports;
. bump PORTREVISION;
. at PORTNAME block add a note that PORTREVISION is defined
later for all ports.

NEW XORG ON FREEBSD 9-STABLE AND 10-STABLE
This update switches over to use the new xorg stack by default on FreeBSD 9
and 10 stable, on osversions where vt(9) is available.
It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in
/etc/make.conf .
FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use
the old version.
A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will
be available soon.
This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well
as some drivers and utilities.
Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due
to xserver version change.
Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been
changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means
ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped.
The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the
future.
All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of
this.
Fix some issues where WITH_NEW_XORG weren't detected properly on CURRENT.
