Rootcheck is an open source rootkit detection software. It scans the whole
system looking for known rootkits and also for the presence of unknown
rootkits and kernel level ones using anomaly detection.
Rootcheck is also integrated with the OSSEC HIDS, providing a powerful
host-based IDS solution. It includes log analysis, file integrity change
detection and rootkit detection (all in one simple to use package).
sdd is a replacement for a program called 'dd'.
sdd is much faster than dd in cases where input block size (ibs) is not equal
to the output block size (obs).
Some features not found on 'dd':
- Statistics are much better readable as from 'dd'.
- rmt support for if= and of=.
- Output file is sync'd before doing statistics.
- Timing available (print transfer speed).
- Seek on input and output
- Fast null i/o.
- Progress bar.
mac-robber is a Forensics & Incident Response tool used to collect
the Modified, Access, and Change (MAC) times from allocated files.
It recursively reads MAC times of files and directories and prints
them in 'time machine' format to STDOUT. This format is the same
that the mactime tool from The Sleuth Kit[1] and The Coroners Toolkit
(TCT)[2] read.
packages.
For compositeproto, it creates a symlink so old pkg-config name
compositeext.pc will be available. (Note that version is wrong though.)
TODO: create a symlink for fixesext.pc too.
TODO: make sure randrproto is not installed when native XFree86 provides
it (since diff shows they are the same).
PKGLOCALEDIR and which install their locale files directly under
${PREFIX}/${PKGLOCALEDIR} and sort the PLIST file entries. From now
on, pkgsrc/mk/plist/plist-locale.awk will automatically handle
transforming the PLIST to refer to the correct locale directory.
