2005-04-01 Jeff Zucker <jzuckerATcpan.org> (0.22)
* removed DESTROY and disconnect - use DBD File's instead
* added ignore_missing_table flag to avoid warnings with
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS
2004-04-18 Jeff Zucker <jzuckerATcpan.org> (0.21)
* added support for $dbh->{Active}, should now work
well with Class::DBI and other caching systems
* added support for DROP TABLE IF EXISTS - doesn't
complain if table is already dropped
* removed DBD::File from the distribution - it's now
distributed with DBI 1.42 and higher
Changes of note (security fixes were already integrated in an earlier
4.4.9nbX release):
* src/gate/ftn2rfc.c (unpack): if * Origin is empty, don't use it
for the Organization header, use default from config.
* src/common/log.c (logit): renamed old log() to avoid conflict
with Standard-C math function.
* src/common/log.c (log_program): removed insecure code entirely,
thanks to Niels Heinen for pointing this out.
* src/gate/send-fidogate.sh: added optimized version using rfc2ftn
-f for INN 2.4, thanks to Viktor Kafke.
Optimized versions for INN 2.2 und INN 2.4 enabled by
OPTIMIZED=yes at the start of this script, default = commented =
off.
* scripts/maintenance/logsendmail2.pl: new version of logsendmail
utility.
* src/gate/rfc2ftn.c (receiver): "sysop" is always a valid name.
* src/gate/rfc2ftn.c (main): new option "SilentBounces" causes
EX_NOHOST, EX_NOUSER errors to return OK without any message.
Useful in the never ending fight against spam, when your gateway
is flooded with messages to unknown adresses, such as Fido.DE :-(
(snd_mail): check silent_bounces, if set return OK and log only.
comment. Instead, allow arbitrary comments at the beginning of the file.
This change required a major rewrite of the code, which had been quite
inflexible before.
2005/07/27 (2.6.15)
* Removed debugging statement introduced during v2.6.14 development
which caused the filename of each message to be printed to stderr
when processing MH-style folders.
* Fixed META.yml for CPAN: YAML is picky about tab characters, and
there was a couple of tab characters causing CPAN's YAML parser to
abort with an error.

* mha-preview example script changes:
- If preview data not available for message, the empty string
is used. Before, undef was returned to mhonarc, causing
warning messages and $X-MSG-PREVIEW$ to show up on index pages.
- Beefed up preview text extraction to skip past quoted text.
Someday, mha-preview functionality will be intrinisic to mhonarc.

2005/06/08 (2.6.12)
* Bug Fixes:
Bug ID Summary
------ ------------------------------------------------------------
11761 spammode causes broken mailto: links in message body
13316 No warning generated when RCFILE set to non-existent file
13317 POSIX::setlocale() not invoked with LANG resource setting
------ ------------------------------------------------------------
<https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=mhonarc>
* New resources:
MIMEINCS Content-types to allow.
* Beefed up filtering of UTF-8 messages: "Malformed UTF-8
..." warnings are now suppressed with such sequences being converted
to U+FFFD (), which should normally cause an HTML viewer
to render a question-mark-like glyph.
Earlier version passed malformed utf-8 sequences through.
No bug/security problems have been reported against this, but it
was a bad practice that has now been corrected.
* The return value for $mhonarc::CBMessageBodyRead and
$mhonarc::CBRawMessageBodyRead is no longer N/A. If the return
value evaluates to false, the current message will be excluded from
the archive and further processing. A true value must be returned
if the message is to not be excluded.
header in the buildlink directory that just pulls in /usr/include/des.h.
This should allow packages that purposely include <openssl/des_old.h> on
post-0.9.7 versions of OpenSSL to find it on NetBSD.
- added tutorial level set created by Aaron Davidson
- added editor element descriptions written by Aaron Davidson
- added native game engine for Emerald Mine (Club) levels
- added level skipping functionality to main menu
- added support for dumping small-sized level sketches from editor
- added use of "editorsetup.conf" for different level sets
- lots of bugfixes and internal engine changes (see ChangeLog)
Add a date column to the fax lists, which derives the time of the
fax from the fax ID (the directory in which faxes are stored)
Provide for the fax ID (the directory in which faxes are stored)
for received faxes to be derived from the time that the fax is
received rather than the time that efax-gtk is put into receive
mode. This enables the fax lists to display the correct time of a
received fax.
Now that stored fax directories (fax name IDs) are not displayed
in the fax lists, provide the part of the ID representing a year
in 4 (or more) digit rather than 2 digit format (someone in 2099
might be pleased!).
Put a UTF-8 validation function in namespace Utf8.
Where relevant, handle PipeFifo and Notifier errors by exceptions
- consequential on putting the source for these in the utils
sub-directory.
Change clean-up arrangements on start-up.
Correct false calls to _exit() in FaxListDialog::view_fax_thread()
Make the PipeFifo and SemSync classes explicitly non-copiable
Provide further explicit casts to void* in sentinels for elipsis
arguments for 64-bit systems.
* Fixed bugs in the exiv2, OpenOffice, and OLE2 plug-ins.
* Static relocatable glib no longer required.
* getKeywords2 function is now included in the code.
- Changes for xlog version 1.2.1 and 1.2.2
* Debian: correct the Build-Depends line.
* This is a bugfix release, which fixes compilation against version 2.4
of the GTK+ libraries. There is no need to upgrade if you use version
2.6 of this library.
- Changes for xlog version 1.2
* Import support for the OH1AA logbook. Tested by Jarmo, OH1MRR.
* A keyerwindow has been added, opened from the 'Tools -> Keyer' menu. This
is a simple interface to cwdaemon and will allow you to run a contest.
It features programmable function keys, macro's, switch between CQ and
S&P mode, an auto increment counter and short numbers. See the MANUAL for
a description.
* Ctrl-H opens help, Ctrl-R the keyerwindow.
* The list of hamlib-rigs in the preferences dialog is now sorted. Thanks
to Jean-Luc F5IBH for proposing.
* You can use the 'del' key to delete a selected QSO and the 'insert' key
to add a QSO.
* We now have slightly different icons for the worked before dialog and
the keyer window.
* A safe backup method has been added, you can now select a backup directory
in the 'Logs' page of the preferences dialog. This directory can be on
another drive or on a network mounted directory. Proposed by Matt, GW0VNR.
* When using hamlib, only the needed backend is loaded at startup. This
saves about 2 Mb of memory compared to the old method, which would load
all backends.
* When using hamlib it is now possible to use the FCC emission designators
for modes. Check the option in the hamlib page of the preferences dialog.
Another proposal by Matt, GW0VNR.
* When selecting 'Logs -> Merge' or Ctrl-M you are presented with a dialog
which can be used to merge 2 logs.
* The manual has been rewritten so it can contain images.
* To make xlog more HIG compliant, Ctrl-Q will now quit the program and
Ctrl-W will close a log.
* Fixed a crash when locale conversion fails when reading the manual. Thanks
to Boguslaw, SQ5TB for reporting.
* Many minor bugfixes.
* Slovak translations by Michal Karas, OM4AA.
* French MANUAL and FAQ by Jean-Luc Coulon, F5IBH.
- Changes for xlog version 1.1
* Several cleanups in the function which creates the main window, the toolbar
now uses the GtkAction API, toolbar items are now also accessable through
the edit menu and the vertical handlebar can move freely to the left.
* "Tab" in the menu has been renamed to "Page".
* You can hide the number column by using the log-editor and entering a zero
column width for this column.
* The BUGS file has been added to the help menu, with a description on how to
report bugs.
* The logeditor has been redesigned so it fits on a 800x600 display.
* Most of the dialogs have been cleaned up and partly rewritten, so they
will load faster.
* Xlog now correctly recognizes the 60 meters band. Thanks to Harv Nelson,
AI9NL for notifying.
* At ADIF import, frequencies with a comma are converted to a dot.
* A gtk+ version check has been added, which will display an error at
startup if the version is below 2.4.
* An error will be displayed when trying to load a non-xlog file.
* The labels export format has been renamed TSV (Tab Separated Value).
* You can decide which fields to export in the TSV format (used by glabels),
by going to Settings->Dialogs and checking wanted the fields in the
"Save As" page.
* When hamlib is enabled, rounding of the digits is now also possible when
the s-meter is not visible.
* When entering a logname in the new log dialog, dash (-) and underscore (_)
are now also allowed.
* Polish MANUAL and FAQ added by Boguslaw Ciastek, SQ5TB.
* The position of the paned window is now remembered at program exit.
/dev/null, create them with MAKEDEV. This avoids ugly problem with
realpath and readlink in linux binaries that try to fully resolve where
/dev/null lives. Bump PKGREVISION to 7.
