Sarah is a program which is used to trim, rotate, archive and delete log
files. It is meant to run periodically out of cron, determining what to do
based on a configuration file.

It is now possible to specify additional switches for mkisofs/cdrecord. Added
desktop entry, updated da.po, updated README.irix, updated README.hp-ux.html
and a couple of minor bugfixes.
Added a del all button in the audio files view, a minor UI change, updated
da.po, some spelling fixes. No big or important changes, but I might as well
release it now in case I don't have time later (and it makes me feel like I've
done something besides watching tv today ;). I really, really should be working
on my getting M.Sc. thesis done.

The --skip-tags option was added, in order to use the formating
filters (like --krad and --rot13) without changing the contents of HTML tags.
A hex dump filter was added (--hex), which displays output in hexadecimal
values. Last, but certainly not least, the --oog filter was added to do
trivial conversion of input text into a format that OOG, of Slashdot fame,
might use.

Although this package is considered an alpha testversion by
the author, it works remarkable well for me.
Note that this needs cdrecord-1.9nb1, which was patched to
make 'cdrecord -scanbus work'. xcdroast relies on this feature.
Also note that I was not able to make wavplay work with our audio
subsystem. Someone with more audio knowledge might want to tweak
it.
I admitt its an ugly hack, but this allows xcdroast to work
on most common configurations. Anyone with more scsi knowledge
should feel free to enhance this code :-)

Dog writes the contents of each given file, URL, or the standard
input if none are given or when a file named '-' is given, to the
standard output. It currently supports the file, http, and
raw URL types. It is designed as a compatible, but enhanced,
replacement of cat(1).

out of date - it was based on a.out OBJECT_FMT, and added entries in the
generated PLISTs to reflect the symlinks that ELF packages uses. It also
tried to be clever, and removed and recreated any symbolic links that were
created, which has resulted in some fun, especially with packages which
use dlopen(3) to load modules. Some recent changes to our ld.so to bring
it more into line with other Operating Systems also exposed some cracks.
+ Modify bsd.pkg.mk and its shared object handling, so that PLISTs now contain
the ELF symlinks.
+ Don't mess about with file system entries when handling shared objects in
bsd.pkg.mk, since it's likely that libtool and the BSD *.mk processing will
have got it right, and have a much better idea than we do.
+ Modify PLISTs to contain "ELF symlinks"
+ On a.out platforms, delete any "ELF symlinks" from the generated PLISTs

Daemontools is a small set of /very/ useful utilities, from Dan
Bernstein. They are mainly used for controlling processes, and
maintaining logfiles.

This package contains the useful components that can still be used
on NetBSD after pcvt was replaced with wscons:
* playvt: A vt-movie player, includes several demo files.
* fed, fontedit: two font editors that can also be used on
the fonts in /usr/share/wscons/fonts.
farms, and performs the same job as Carnegie Mellon's depot program, albeit
in a simpler manner. Used to administer many packages at the same time in
a single tree.

Tools for the VIDC console used by NetBSD/arm32 on RiscPC
- blanktime Screen blank control for arm32 virtual consoles
- mkbeep Generates a waveform for the beep device
- setdisplay Set display resolutiion and depth for arm32 virtual consoles
- setkbd Set and report the keyboard autorepeat rate
sysgen reads DEC Qbus or UNIBUS device names from standard input,
assigns CSR addresses and interrupt vectors to the devices according
to the DEC standard algorithm for auto-configuration, and prints
the resulting list of allocations to standard output.
The program attempts to conform to the CONFIG command of the VMS
SYSGEN program, but has simplified output. Specifically, it does
not print information about VMS device naming and support.

binary packages know that these packages have version-specific features
that would make them incompatible with other point releases.. (such as
LKM's)
StrongARM rev2 problems
It attempts to identify the instructions that will cause problems
and moves them to a safe location. The "safe" location is final
page of the text (code) segment of the executable, which normally
has some spare bytes before the start of the data segment. Having
moved the instruction, it then puts a branch to the new location
where the old instruction used to be so that things will continue
to work.

XXX I *think* that libtool needs to be rebuilt after installing this!
can either be defined or not. This governs the installation of the
floppyd binary in the mtools package. The floppyd program needs
the SM and ICE libs from the X11 distribution to link (floppyd's
authorisation model to enable remote access to floppy drives closely
resembles that of X11's xauth model). Modify the mtools Makefile
accordingly.
