54c14279dc Address more linker issues 
This resolves a ninja-related issues, corrects passing private args to linker
while building libruby itself (without external LDFLAGS), exports the full
symbols table, and pet 'pkg check -d'. Issues with weechat, vim, facter,
rubygem-hpricot and rubygem-rdiscount should be fixed.  See [1] for long story
of hunting and fixing these issues.

Bump PORTREVISIONS accordingly.

8826fd8b3f Revert the "DLD_FLAGS" pollution part of r475483. 
It was initially got from ruby23, but recent ruby releases have some
differences in runtime linking, which was not hit by exp-run, and caused
trouble with some ports (e.g. devel/leatherman, sysutils/facter).

09f9633cb6 Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC 
in the ports tree (via Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk and lang/gcc) which
has now moved from GCC 6 to GCC 7 by default.

This includes ports
 - featuring USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any,
 - featuring USES=fortran,
 - using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and those
 - with USES=compiler specifying one of openmp, nestedfct, c11, c++0x,
   c++11-lib, c++11-lang, c++14-lang, c++17-lang, or gcc-c++11-lib.

1b9be56d92 lang/ruby2{2,3,4}: require libunwind 
Since ruby detects this if it's installed, and it's more often installed now
due to other deps, and ruby provides no way to not depend on it if it's found,
pull it in as a dependency unconditionally. While here, fix plist for ruby 2.4
with the CAPIDOCS option on, and restore the MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE flag when using
that build option since it's not fixed like I thought it was.

e710b8dad9 - Fix runtime with OpenSSL after the removal of SSLv2 in head.

167f82f839 Change the EDIT option of ruby to use libedit by default now that libedit 
from ports is able to handle unicode. Make sure that ruby does not provides its
own function to read the input but let libedit do it itself.

This allows the binary package to by default not be "tainted" by the readline
license.

c553ae6488 lang/ruby2*: fix dtrace support 
DTrace support in ruby needs the -xnolibs flag added to the dtrace command
called during build to ensure that dtrace support is enabled even if the dtrace
kernel modules are not loaded at build time.

However, with this dtrace will be enabled on some OS versions where it will not
work, so add logic to disable it where appropriate.

07e2d47f53 - Force use of libreadline from ports rather than base, in order to avoid 
unexpectedly getting readline from ports if it's already installed.
- Add patch to work with newer libreadline
- Provide an option to use libedit from ports, avoiding the libedit in base.
- Note 1: The patch to work with newer libreadline is only applied in the
  libreadline case since it actually breaks building with libedit.
- Note 2: libreadline is not BSD licensed and while libedit would be
  preferable, it seems to have issues with UTF8 still, see ruby bug 9204. Once
  that's resolved, we can make libedit the default.

4a4ec28d37 Convert all :U to :tu and :L to :tl 
Since FreeBSD 8.4 and FreeBSD 9.1 make(1) do support :tu and :tl as a
replacement for :U and :L (which has been marked as deprecated)

bmake which is the default on FreeBSD 10+ only support by default
:tu/:tl a hack has been added at the time to support :U and :L to ease
migration. This hack is now not necessary anymore

Note that this makes the ports tree incompatible with make(1) from
FreeBSD 8.3 or earlier
