This is the latest stable release at time of writing.

New features in Qt 5.5: https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.5
As usual, huge thanks to Tobias Berner (tcberner@gmail.com) for all his work
on these ports in kde@'s experimental area51 repository. He's the one who
started the update and did a lot of the initial work on Qt 5.5. Ralf Nolden
(nolden@kde.org) has contributed the initial version of most of our new Qt5
ports.
Also thanks to Yuri Victorovich (yuri@rawbw.com) for contributing PR 205805
with his own patch for the 5.5.1 update. Some of his changes there prompted
additional fixes and changes present in the final patch generated from our
experimental repository.
New ports:
- comms/qt5-connectivity, comms/qt5-sensors, devel/qt5-location,
graphics/qt5-3d, net/qt5-enginio, x11-toolkits/qt5-canvas3d,
x11-toolkits/qt5-uiplugin.
General changes in all Qt5 ports:
- All Qt5 ports are now built with -Wl,--as-needed to avoid overlinking,
which is a problem with qmake-based because the libraries passed to the
linker come from the modules .pri files and many are not necessary.
- With this change, several ports had their USE_QT5 lines adjusted to
explicitly include some libraries that were pulled in implicitly, and to
exclude libraries no longer required with -Wl,--as-needed.
Changes in specific ports:
- devel/qt5: Drop the SQL_PLUGINS and TOOLS options and depend on all Qt5
ports by default. It makes the Makefile much simpler, and those options
were already on by default.
- devel/qt5-core: The clang+base libstdc++ workaround has been expanded and
more C++11 features have been disabled when that combination is used by a
port (basically, FreeBSD 9 with USES=compiler:c++11-lang). The disabled
features have explanations for why they were disabled in the patched
header itself.
- devel/qt5-designer: uiplugins has been split out following a similar
change upstream. By depending on qt5-uiplugin, qt5-uitools avoids having
to depend on the big qt5-designer port.
- multimedia/qt5-multimedia: The port now uses GStreamer 1.0 instead of
0.10.
- net/qt5-network: The port now depends on libproxy for proxy settings.
Using libproxy allows proxy settings to be read from different sources,
and also allows .pac files to work with Qt.
- www/qt5-webkit: The port now uses GStreamer 1.0 instead of 0.10.

FreeDV is a Digital Voice mode for HF radio. FreeDV allows any SSB radio
to be used for low bit rate digital voice. Speech is compressed down to
700-1600 bit/s then modulated onto a 1.25 kHz wide signal comprised of
16 QPSK carriers which is sent to the Mic input of a SSB radio. The signal
is received by an SSB radio, then demodulated and decoded by FreeDV. FreeDV
700(B) rivals SSB in it's low SNR performance. At high SNRs FreeDV 1600
sounds like FM, with no annoying analog HF radio noise.

Add the required bits to Uses/pyqt.mk along with all the PyQt5 ports.
Thankfully this commit is mostly adding new ports, as the hard work was
already done in r403297 and r403662.
Huge kudos to Tobias Berner <tcberner@gmail.com> and, most importantly,
Guido Falsi (madpilot@) for their initial work on these ports (see D2910 in
Phabricator for an earlier version of the PyQt5 patch set).

Sub-port of comms/unixcw
Previously, this was a build-time option, but the primary use of
comms/unixcw is to provide libcw.so (and it's a dependency of
comms/cwdaemon).
Since comms/cwdaemon is not a GUI program, it doesn't make sense to enable
the GUI by default, which would mean pkg users couldn't install this
program. By splitting it into a sub-port, it's now available via pkg
and more obviously present when earching ports.

SDR-J (formerly Jsdr) is a suite of four programs provided under a
LGPL open source license for playing around with sdr (software
defined radio). The software can be used directly with the PM-SDR
kit and RTL2832U based dongles, and in the 32 bits Windows version
with other kits as well.
The suite contains four programs:
- a full blown "short wave" receiver, which provides tuning in the
range of 100K .. 165M using the PM-SDR (although above 55 M with
reduced performance) and from app 55 MHz to app 900 Mhz or above
using an RTL2832U based dongle. The receiver provides quite a number
of decoders for amateur modes.
- am/fm receiver covering the same frequency bands as the sw receiver,
however, with am bandwidths selectable, with fm mono and stereo
decoding as well as with rds decoding.
- spectrum viewer for use with the RTL2832U based dongles, showing
spectra of up to 3 Mhz bandwidth.
- mini receiver, a stripped version of the fm receiver, a gadget
for listening to WFM using DAB sticks.

Some cleanups and fixes needed.
Original comment from shurd@sasktel.net
I noticed that the new version allows uploading directly from the tqsl
app, so I've updated the port. The tqsllib is no longer a separate
package from upstream, so I added the CONFLICTS_INSTALL for it. A note
will be needed in ports/UPDATING regarding this.

a broad spectrum version of the FM receiver
It is quite obvious that one can use a DAB stick to receive DAB
programs. However, the DAB software presented here is a real SDR
in that it uses the 8 bit I/Q samples of the DAB stick.

Gstreamer multimedia framework.
Use the USE_GSTREAMER1 macro to select Gstreamer 1.0 plugins. A new chapter
for the porters handbook about gstreamer is a work in progress.
X related plugins are now stand alone. The gio plugin is now part of the
gstreamer1-plugins port and the oss plugins are now part of the
gstreamer1-plugins-good port.
Note that the pulseaudio plugin is missing because it needs a newer version
of pulseaudio. Also there are still a number of plugins from -bad which
haven't been ported to the 1.0 API yet.
A graphical user interface (GUI) for ebook2cw is available as a
separate program (screenshots: WinXP, Linux). It is designed to
work on Windows (95 through 7), Linux and Mac OS X (not tested).
It's a single executable file that you can download here
(Windows version - see the download directory for the source code to
compile it for other platforms).
The GUI uses the same configuration file as ebook2cw, called ebook2cw.conf.

It overrides the `normal' uart(4) driver, if you have that driver
already loaded or statically in your kernel (like it is in GENERIC)
then you need to load uartlirc.ko from loader.conf(5) (or manually
via the loader prompt) for the override to work. The driver provides
a /dev/lircX node for each serial port in addition to the normal
tty nodes /dev/cuauX etc, so you can still use other serial ports
normally should you have more than one.
Note: it only supports PCI/motherboard serial ports not ones connected
via USB, for USB you can use mceusb hardware supported via webcamd,
or FTDI hardware supported by comms/lirc natively via libftdi, see:

The Cisco UCS Manager (UCSM) is an embedded software agent providing access to

controller designed primarily for prototyping and experimentation.
Although the devel/arduino port already exists for programming the device,
it will not work properly with the newest Arduino hardware. Previous
versions of the Arduino used an FTDI USB to Serial interface. The newest
Arduino (beginning with the Uno) uses an on-board ATMel 8U2 controller
to emulate a USB to Serial interface with its own custom Vendor ID and
Hardware ID. As a result, NONE of the existing FreeBSD USB to serial
drivers can work with it. This kernel driver supplies the necessary
kernel support for the Arduino Uno on FreeBSD.
Additionally, some 'ACM' USB Serial devices may work with this driver by
manually adding their Vendor ID and Product ID combination to files/ids.txt
