Changes: This is a minor/development release. There have been many internal
changes since the last release, mostly to do with how we implement geometry
handling, the geometry subsystem has been substantially overhauled. Many other
bugs have been fixed as well.
This version will probably break binary compatibility with 0.87.0,
although I don't see anything specific at the moment. Don't count on binary
compatibility, though.
fetchmail-4.7.5 (Sat Jan 9 17:01:13 EST 1999):
* Issue proper logout after running fetchmail -c
* Fix prefix problem with internationalized version.
* Fix for Harry McGavran's VPATH bug.
* Progress messages now go to stdout. Errors still go to stderr
* Fetchmailconf can now launch fetchmail with a point-and-click interface.
* Many small cleanups suggested by Byrial Jensen.
* Polish-language (LC_ALL=pl) support. Turkish text in spec file.
*** THIS NO LONGER COMPILES ON GCC 2.7. ***
(There is a check for this in the pkg's Makefile.)
However, there are some codegen bugs in 1.0 which this release fixes.
- add INSTALL_TARGET=install install-man and remove the patch that did
modify the GNUMakefile, for better maintainance.
- add - in front of @${MKDIR} to silently fail if the dir already exists
- move ld.so.conf warning near the end, so it can be better spotted.
Changes: The compile time warning was fixed, and several new command
line options were added (for textcursor-color, hilight color, and
to iconify, restore and refresh the xterm window).
DDD 3.1.3 fixes more minor bugs in DDD 3.1.
- Invoking DDD with a non-existing file name works.
- Displays disabled by GDB are created and refreshed properly.
- [HP-UX, SGI] Perl no longer exits upon start-up.
- [LessTif] Worked around a LessTif bug that made DDD insensitive to input.
- [Build] New configuration files from Autoconf 2.13.
There are no new features in DDD 3.1.3. You don't need to upgrade to
unless you suffer from one of these bugs.
fetchmail-4.7.4 (Mon Jan 4 13:26:32 EST 1999):

* HTML cleanup in design notes and FAQ, thanks to Byrial Jensen.
* Don't get message sizes when --check is on.
* Supply our own strerror() if system doesn't have one.
* Gunther Leber's cleanup for the plugin/plugout code.
* Hajimu UMEMOTO's code for localtime in timestamps.
* Michael Warfield's IPv6 fixes.
* Added Argentine Spanish as supported language (LC_ALL=pt_BR) from a
po file by Javier Cohen <jkohen@tough.com>.
* Accept 'passwd' as a synonym for 'password' in .netrc files.
* In fetchmailconf, Save or Quit in a frame first performs that action
on all dependent frames.
* Source distribution now includes Debian package data under debian/
