This patch provides an update to Ardour 7.1.0, thereby replacing Ardour
6.9.0 in audio/ardour6 and moving the port to audio/ardour. There's no
reason to keep the major version in the portname, we only had one version
for quite some time.
The patch also incorporates bug #267065, relaxing the version requirement
on the python build dependency.
Some notes about the changes I made:
Issue 1 - Official download is now tailored to browsers only, that's why
the distfile is named "510". Put it in a named and versioned subdirectory
to not mess up the distfiles directory. I didn't find a better download
alternative. Github is not an option, because the download there is
deliberately made empty (sic).
Issue 2 - Even though I followed the advice in the porters handbook to
the best of my knowledge, portlint warns about the use of DISTFILES and
DISTNAME. The problem is the odd distfile name (Issue 1) combined with
non-matching extraction path and portname. If I follow the suggestions of
portlint, I have to define WRKSRC above the license block which portlint
doesn't like either.
Issue 3 - Ardour includes its major version (e.g. "ardour7") in many
pkg-plist paths. I factored these out into a substitution variable named
ARDOUR_MAJOR, to ease future updates to the port. Some of these
substitutions came through the portname previously.

As per upstream php 7.4 has reached it's EOL on 2022-11-22. Remove php74
from the tree. Default version of php has already been switched to 8.1.

Although upstream mentioned about releasing version 8 before the expiry
of php74 unfortunately the schedule has been delayed and will take place
some times next year. So rather the reaping the port I am considering to
update to a beta release which supports php 8.0.

Mastodon is an alternative implementation of GNU social, a free,
open-source social network. It is a decentralized alternative to
commercial platforms based on ActivityStreams, Webfinger, PubsubHubbub
and Salmon. The project focuses on creating a clean REST API and a good
user interface. Ruby on Rails is used for the back-end, while React.js
and Redux are used for the dynamic front-end.
For easier maintenance of the port some part of the installation
procedure remains to be completed by the end user. The main howto is

A great thanks to Stefano Marinelli for the fabulous post on running
Mastodon on a FreeBSD instance which helped a lot in porting this. The

Staying on snapshots would likely require reverting wlroots 0.17 API
changes in hyprland, reverting 260e0a7866 and reviving wlroots-devel
or bundling wlroots.
Upstream now provides msgpack as two separate distributions: a C version
with the traditional libmsgpackc.so library, and a header-only C++
version.
devel/msgpack is now devel/msgpack-c and devel/msgpack-cxx, and its
consumers now point to one or both. Note that it is entirely possible
for both to be required. PORTREVISION bump for all consumers.
In my testing, it's not clear that the MSGPACK option in the mariadb
ports actually does anything. I don't think mariadb is actually linking
against msgpack, even before this commit.
Ports were switched to devel/py-ipykernel5 on 2020-05-07
because devel/py-ipykernel has expired at the time.
Currently main consumers of devel/py-ipykernel - Jupyter and
Spyder - work fine with devel/py-ipykernel.
There is no reason to use an outdated devel/py-ipykernel5 everywhere.
Since removing the port related to the python 2.7 EOL upstream
development picked up speed again adding support for python 3 as well
as other minor improvements.

developing it under a new name. Hence the port was renamed to reflect this
and to maintain sync with the new shells/ksh port.
Smarty is a template engine for PHP. Many other template engines for PHP provide
basic variable substitution and dynamic block functionality. Smarty takes a step
further to be a "smart" template engine, adding features such as configuration
files, template functions, and variable modifiers, and making all of this
functionality as easy as possible to use for both programmers and template
designers. Smarty also converts the templates into PHP scripts, eliminating the
need to parse the templates on every invocation. This makes Smarty extremely
scalable and managable for large application needs.

Intel bount it and discontinued all Nervana development 2+ years ago.
The company is now defunct, and so are all its projects.
The port is now based on the espeak-ng repository, which has been
forked off the original project's repository which had not been
maintained for many years.
Similar to other matrix effect generating programs like cmatrix,
tmatrix, neo, ... also move this one to the games category.
